Marrying your best friend is the greatest thing on earth.

a farm wedding

Tonight was Hannah and Timothy’s wedding, and it was absolutely wonderful.

The weather ended up being better than we imagined, 65 and sunny. Both the ceremony and reception were held on Hannah’s grandmothers farm, that was surrounded by beautiful green and yellow Ohio hills. Her grandmother had a few horses on her property that ate apples from the local Amish market out of my hand, as well as some adorable barn kittens that roamed free. Being just outside of the Columbus city for awhile was so refreshing, and because our surroundings were so peaceful it made me rethink the negative view I once had on country living.

Cory and I sang for the ceremony as Hannah and Timothy walked down the aisle to profess their love. It was so sweet. You could see pure joy in their faces and they whispered to one another while the pastor read to the crowd. They wrote their own vows, which were poetic and true.  You could see so much of themselves in every part of the wedding, and that’s what made it so wonderful. They made everyone feel so comfortable and welcome and were so gracious. Hannah and I have worked together at the same coffee shop for a little over a year now, and her and Timothy take off to honeymoon in Portugal for the next 6 weeks. I will miss them dearly while they’re away, but am thrilled to have sent them off with a gathering of joy and love. See you both when you return!

Cory and I have the honor of singing for our dear friends-Timothy and Hannah- as they wed today. The weather is absolutely perfect, a cool 63, and we’re surrounded by acres and acres of beautiful land that is her grandmothers farm. The day couldn’t be more perfect or them.

Made a tiny batch of special gatherer hands for new art pals.

Sometimes I worry about the art scene as being a bit of a dog eat dog environment — but some very lovely friends have shown me in the past couple of days that I’m surrounded by the best bunch of people ever.

Thanks for that, you know who you are.

6 months married to Cory this week. This morning, we spent time rewatching the stop motion film our dear friend Rachel Joy Baransi put together and remembered how wonderful our wedding day was.

Tonight, we celebrate another friends marriage!

Aquarius values their friendships and will stay in touch with the people who mean the most to them for a very long time. Even after a good friend has moved away, Aquarius will find ways to keep in touch.

"To love someone fiercely, to believe in something with your whole heart, to celebrate a fleeting moment in time, to fully engage in a life that doesn’t come with guarantees — these are risks that involve vulnerability and often pain. But, I’m learning that recognizing and leaning into the discomfort of vulnerability teaches us how to live with joy, gratitude and grace." - Brené Brown
